How to overcome this situation as one parent (mother) got visa but other parent(father) got rejected due to overstay in U.S.A.? I’m asking on behalf of my friend. I can ask him more details if needed!!

how long did he overstay? did he get caught or left on his own? When did hereturn to his home country?

If you have a history of not following the immigration laws of another country there may be nothing but perhaps time that can change the ability to visit Canada. If you haven’t followed the immigration laws before there will be concerns that you won’t follow again.

How long of a ban did the father incur?
Ban lengths are connected to how long they had unlawful presence in the United States.
Probably will be difficult in getting a visa . This is why countries data share immigration information. To prevent individuals not abiding by the immigration rules in one country , then attempting entry in another

I agree with others, it would depend on how recent the overstay is, how long the overstay is for, and how the parent departed the US (i.e. if they left on their own or were removed).

However the short answer is that this individual needs to establish stronger ties to their home country before reapplying. They also likely need to wait longer before reapplying (how long is hard to say without knowing the full details of the overstay).
