Yep - AOR1 times are erratic and can vary from one case to another.

Looking at 6 recent timelines, the quickest was 54 calendar days and the slowest was 99 calendar days, with a median of say, 60 calendar days.

Having said that, once it gets going, things move more quickly for Canadian / American sponsorships than others, with say 4 months from receipt for OWP approval and 6 months from receipt for Spousal Sponsorship approval. I am sure you wouldn't want to 'trade' for a Canadian/ British combination processed by London, which takes about 11 months!

Process time is 12 months. Doesn't matter if your using a lawyer. It doesn't speed up the process at all. He literally just fills out your paperwork and submits it for you. But you go in line same as every other applicant.

I know that using a lawyer doesnt speed up anything I was just giving as much info as possible. I just wondered why I see so many others get response a month later and ive been waiting almost three months with not even a AOR.

Thanks.
