I am guessing, as I have been reading through, that my mom's the sponsor and I am the principal applicant but that's just one of the issues i'm quite uncertain about at the moment. Please correct me if i'm wrong. Also, it says in the letter that "DEPENDENTS MAY ACCOMPANY OR FOLLOW THE PRINCIPAL APPLICANT BUT CANNOT ARRIVE IN CANADA BEFORE THE PRINCIPAL APPLICANT." Does this mean that it's possible for me to leave the Philippines before my siblings do? We couldn't get a flight earlier than August if we leave all together unless we take the business class seats... ::)

THANKS everyone!

If your mom is just sponsoring dependent children, then you are all principal applicants. However, if your mom has included you on HER PR application as dependent children, she is not a sponsor. SHE is the principal applicant and once approved, she must complete the landing procedures BEFORE you arrive or WITH you.

I see...Well we've actually completed all the requirements, we are just waiting for a flight schedule. I was just thinking, it would be easier to get seats if I leave ahead of my brothers, is that possible? Or would you recommend that we leave altogether to avoid any problems whatsoever? Thanks so much!

Well you didn't answer the question. Is your mom already a PR or citizen of Canada? Or did she apply for PR and you are her dependent?

Yes sir, she was granted her PR status last March... My brothers and i are her dependents...

So you can choose to arrive together or separately. It won't cause any problems because your mom was the principal applicant. And I'm a "she". :)
