You wouldn't happen to know what type of dependent (A, B, C) my wife and children classify as, would you? I've been looking for what those 3 categories mean.

Given that your children are Canadian citizens, I believe they're not dependents for the purposes of the application, as in you're not sponsoring them. They need to be declared on that family info form, but they're not dependents here.

However, my application had no children or anyone else attached to it apart from myself, the principal applicant, so this is not my forte. You can wait for more replies here and if no one bites, feel free to make a new thread with the dependent question in the title, to draw attention to it.

Make sure you read the guide to the application! Don't just read the forms. The guide actually has important information. It clarifies what a co-signor is for (not your wife) and what dependents are, etc.

Your wife is the Principal Applicant, not a dependent. Your Canadian children are not dependents.
