A Level Certificate - is it sufficient to meet Language reuirement?

Are O Level & A Level certificates (under University of Cambridge) obtained applicant's from home country sufficient to meet the language requirement? CIC Website states - Secondary School completion in English meets the criteria. Just wanted to get a confirmartion that this is true.

As far as I am aware O level and A level English exams can NOT be used for PR or Citizenship applications.

You will need to look into doing IELTS (or other alternates) as proof of English language...

Yes, for Citizenship the Secondary or post secondary school certificates should be enough, but again it's the CO's discretion.
Probably wouldn't work for PR, though...

This is for meeting language requirement for Citizenship Application. The Applicant is a Student in a 4 years degree program in Accounting in a College in Toronto but has only completed 3 years. Prior to immigrating here with his parents 3 years ago, he had completed O Level & A Level.

Can you please help me by answering my question....if am the main applicant for citizenship is it that my wife also has to take ielts test?

For citizenship, there is no main applicant. Each application, including minors is considered independently, although you could
send them all together in one package and might be processed together, you get independent AOR's.
