Hi all!
I have been reading a lot of info about the Express Entry and I have some questions that I haven't found anywhere, I hope you can give me a hand with them. I have already started my application and these are my questions...
I have a contract (40h/week) that expires in October but my company is going to extend it until December 2017. As far as I know this is not a permanent contract because it has an end date so:
a) Can I get 600 point with this contract? I have a LMIA and my job is from the A category.
b) In case I don't get the 600 point I have read that my company can write a letter saying that they plan to hire me for a long term and this should be the same as a permanent job offer. Is that right? In that case what they should write on the letter?
c) If I get the 600 points do I still need an ECA report? It's supposed if I have those 600 points I wont need the ECA report, right?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!
Manu.

For c, you may still need eca to meet eligibility points (67 points). Not sure about a and b.

Hi,
thanks for the replies.
About b) My company doesn't use to do permanent contracts. What they do is update the contract before it finishes. Most of the people have been working there since more that 5 years ago with this method and the company has more than 300 people working there. I know what you mean but in this case I don't think it can be considered as fraud because the contract could be considered as permanent job offer.
c) I'm applying for the CEC.

Thanks!
