Correct. There is nothing you can do but wait. Processing times are just estimates and there are a number of things that can cause processing to take longer than the estimated time.

Expect processing times to extend even further given COVID-19.

There's no priority processing for those in Canada (or those outside of Canada). It's based on application complexity and how long various checks take based on your personal and work history and other factors.

just a follow up question. Is it possible for IRCC to request new medical results/police clearance and other additional stuff since they’re over 6mon already. In this case might as well apply as self employed route that took 12 months to process.

just asking what you think since you seem to know everything about this! Thanks

Only advice you can get is WAITING, be patient.

I waited for 9 months and 1 day to have my application approved. It is not unusual for applications to extend beyond the 6 months estimated time (even >1 year).

Especially now, I would even expect more delays...

Hey I know waiting is the hardest thing. I have had friends apply for PR before and I couldnt feel what they were saying until I did it myself.
Good news is you should be receiving your GCMS notes soon and I dont think it will be affected by COVID.
Hopefully when you get your Notes , you will have some relief.
Best of Luck to all.
