I need to renew PR card but unfortunately i have 1103 days out side canada!
have been here for 20 months. Now I live in canada with my wife and daughter, full time job In rental home and everything is settled.
I left canada in pandemic 2020 and I returned back 2023.

Don't submit the PR card renewal application until you have been here for a minimum of 24 months.

As noted, just wait to renew your card. While you're in Canada, you basically don't need the card for anything, and you presumably already have the other things sorted (health card, etc). Lots of people go years without having a current PR card; its primary usage is for boarding planes back to Canada, so no issue if you don't travel.

If you've been 20 months straight, you only have another four months (plus a bit of buffer suggested) to wait to apply.

Thank you for your help, I had here for 5.5 months in 2025, so can I submit the application when I get 730 days or more?

And I have to travel for family issues in March, how i can return back to Canada?

If you don't have a valid PR card, you either go to land border (example by foot) or get a PRTD from a Canadian consulate.

As long as you are looking at the most recent five years as of the day you apply, yes (doesn't matter whether it's >730 days IN Canada in last five years or <1095 days OUTSIDE Canada, it's the same thing).

In other words, I have no idea what your 5.5 months mean, I don't have all the details, and you need to do your own arithmetic.

Travelling: as long as you don't need to board a plane back to Canada, no problem (i.e. you'll have to enter by land border).

Would add if you are traveling in March you may end up not meeting your RO while abroad which is not good. Remember you must meet the 730 day in the past 5 years on any day after the first 5 years.
