The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, pursuant to section 10.3 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, gives the annexed Ministerial Instructions Respecting Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence under the Express Entry System (April 10, 2015).

MINISTERIAL INSTRUCTIONS RESPECTING INVITATIONS TO APPLY FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE UNDER THE EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM (APRIL 10, 2015)

Determination — number of invitations

1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on April 10, 2015 and ending on April 11, 2015 is 925.

Required rank

(2) Foreign nationals who, on April 11, 2015 at 00:00:01 UTC, have been assigned a total of 469 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014 and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

thought it would go up. people needed to rush to get new LMIA's and all their documentation together before entering the pool.

Since WES are getting slow and also getting a IELTS in BC is a mission I would say this will only get worse

No, its because they picked less number of candidates, had they picked more, points would have certainly dropped !

I think its general, since nothing is mentioned in the Ministerial Instruction, otherwise it would point to some specific clause

With no regularity in timing and size of draws, its quite clear that CIC is manipulating the ITA numbers to make sure cutoff doesn't drop below a certain level (that level CIC keeps it in their mind)

I have 520 points --- no ITA yet. Keeping (and praying to god ) for ITA....

I agree with such statement , it's very strange to decrease no of invitation , however such draw will disappoint many candidates,

Absolutely. Pool built up by 925 people within two weeks, since the last draw. And I would consider that 469 is a very strong score. WES + IELTS coming up for people, and maybe people building score up by making their spouses go through IELTS + WES. Good signs from CIC. EE throws curve ball at every point. Bet no stat model on here even accounted for this.

My score is 468... Man so close!
