I am supposed to attend a conference in Toronto, Canada next month as a speaker. It is one of the biggest tech conferences in Canada. I am in the process of applying for a visitor's visa from India. I have read quite a few threads on this forum and would like some opinions as to how I can show strong ties to my country.
Please find details of my situation below:
1. Travel History: I have visited Malaysia, Singapore and China with family in the last 3-4 years and have returned to my home country. I haven't travelled to Canada before.
2. Employment Situation: I have recently graduated from University in the month of May 2019 and have 4 months of full-time work experience in an IT consultancy company. The work is related to the conference I'm attending. I can submit my payslips but haven't filed any IT return as of yet.
3. Financial aid: The conference has provided a funding of CAD $550 + $250 (conference ticket) which partially covers my expenses.
4. Funding: Since, I have recently started working, I cannot completely fund my trip and plan to show my father/mother as sponsors. I do not have any property on my name but since my father is a sponsor, can I attach his savings/property/salary slip etc?
5. I am a single child of my parents who have a pretty stable income. All my relatives are in India.
6. I stay in a rented accommodation and have a rent agreement for the same.
7. I lead women-in-tech groups in India and actively organize monthly tech-meetups.
I am planning to attach following documents with my application form:
1. Covering letter explaining why the conference, importance, impact on job.
2. Letter of invitation from the conference (Should it be notarized?)
3. Letter of employment from current company stating my current role and how the conference will help
4. Bank statements of father (sponsor)
5. Property/savings of father (sponsor)
6. A day-by-day planned itinerary in Canada 4 days of conference + 3 days of touring.
7. Will purchase a refundable flight ticket to and from Canada and attach it.
I really wish to attend this conference, it is really a big platform for me to learn and share knowledge. How do you think I can strengthen my profile? Any other documents to be added? Do you find any reasons for rejection in this?
