Hello all. I posted in the wrong section before so I was told to post here instead:

My profile:

29 years old
BSC Hons Computer Science from University of Toronto St. George
MS from Private Uni in Bangladesh
1 year Experience as Software Engineer in Bangladesh
IELTS 8.5
Sister is Canadian citizen

My score shows up as ~495.

My first issue is, right after I returned from Canada, I worked as the IT supervisor in my granddad's company. This is seperate from the 1 year i worked at the software engineering firm. Stupidly, I didn't take proper payslips and cheques for the work i did in the family business. Would it still be possible to claim some extra years of work experience if can get some documentation from HR that I did indeed work during that time? Also, that would be a different NOC from my 1 year of work as a software engineer. Is that an issue?

Secondly, my girlfriend isn't anglophone and isn't educated. She is just a simple Bangladeshi girl. She's pressuring me to marry her though cuz her dad is trying to get her married off to someone else (arranged marriage is common here). I noticed that if I put "married but spouse wont accompany you to canada" in the calculator, my score doesn't get lowered. But, if I take her to Canada with me, my score lowers significantly. My question is, is this actually correct? Is it possible for me to marry her without lowering my score? If I marry my girlfriend, and she doesn't accompany me now, can she accompany me at a future date?

Not an expert here, but my suggestion is putting down only things you feel solid, otherwise, even though you get invitation and apply, the six to one year processing period is a torture for you thinking whether application would be rejected because somethings raise concerns, and the worse scenarios is getting rejected and have a bad record on file damaging future application.

Not sure about the second question about your girl friend, I am the only and principle applicant for my application.

Good luck buddy.
