401K - leave as is or move to IRA

What are you guys doing with your 401K? I understand the recommended option is to convert to an IRA, for any of you who have already moved to Canada, what did you do with it?

I believe if you have to convert to IRA, you have to pay taxes now? Would also love some clarity on this - P.S. I was thinking of leaving as is - 401k
