Someone else in the forum with similar situation?

I've seen some cases where people received PPR without having the BG check changed to In PRogress...

My timeline is below

AOR 17-Nov
Medical Passed 18-Nov

No single change since then! You're not alone

Truth is no one knows! My VO is London and even with London I've seen people take up to a month to pass medical. I passed it in a day!!

Background check status depends on the visa office which is processing your application. Few change it to In progress in the beginning and others do not do it till the end.
My case the status was NN till a few days back and I know of many other applicants whose application is being processed in the same visa office as mine having no change in background check status for 4-6 months.

It's a big relief to learn about similar cases. Thanks!

my case is similar, Nov 2 eAPR but after Meds passed Nov 24, there has been no change in BG or any other. Its a bit frustrating when you see how fast the status change for other people and to see your own application not move.

I am CEC 07 November inland applicant..
My background check is not needed at this time.. It never changed to In Progress.. Its been nearly 3.5 months....

Good to know we are not alone in this one buddy

7 weeks after AOR, nothing has been updated. Not even medical and the clinic said it's been sent 7 wks ago and all is good. Work permit extension is 'on hold'... just have to keep waiting.

Hehehe, so simple. Thanks. What are other stages of BC?

Not started
Not needed at this time
Background in Progress

Some people will get BG check back to NN and then IP again before receiving the email requesting passport - when the application has been approved

Hope this helps
