39 year age gap

Thanks Aquakitty.... we will try hard.... we know we are genuine but want to do our best to avoid interview to not cause major delay because I need to return to Canada in less than 2 years

By the way, this is our 39 year age gap.. to us and to our friends, they do not see it. Will the VO see it and does it make a difference?

if its ok to ask, when did you submit your papers ?, it seems you have good point in your case.

i agree with that, it's all depends to the officer, much better if he/she an open-minded one.

ours 26 years age gap, mostly said in our case 99% chance for interview.

You are welcome my dear. Age is nothing but compatibility is. There are spouses who are age mates or with small age difference but their marriages are nightmares. i have also noticed that there are men who are happier with younger women than those closer to their age. I know there have been fraud cases but i don't think age difference is one of the major factors and that is why i feel it shouldn't bother anyone. I wish your file lands in the hands of a nice officer or one who understands or is in a similar situation.

Relax Crazy! i guess is depends on an officer handling your file and if there is enough proof then you may not end up having one.

We still did not submit our application - we're planning to do so in November and it will be outland common law sponsorship. I hear it is not very common in the Philippines so I hope that will not be a problem. We feel we have enough proof, 2 years on facebook before meeting and now living together for 15 months with joint contract, joint receipts for household items, joint shipping labels, joint bank account, life insurance, support letters,lots of photos and thinking of doing a will.

You have better chance of avoiding interview than us it seems but for age gap it all comes down to convincing the VO that you are compatible despite the age gap. I wrote a letter listing compatibility and explaining how i am more compatible with her than women in my own age bracket.

very well said. my husband been in common law for 20+ years. his x with just 2 years difference. when my husband asked letter from his bro/sister and his son to say something about our relationship, one thing in common in their letter sayin' they never see my husband as happy as he is now.
I'm glad i mention in our application what are those things we liked to do together (compatibility).

That is good to hear. I am sure with all these, the officer in her visa office which i presume is Manila should be convinced that you are meant for each other and to be together. There is a 23yrs difference between me and my husband but i don't feel it. We are so much in love that we don't realize that we have a big age, as and he is almost the age of my dad. But guess what? if i was to marry again, i will still marry my husband. I know no one can treat as a queen as he does and i really don't care what people think about us.

i think its pretty normal here, many people just want to stay in common law but of course as for application is different you have to prove to qualify as common law.

i included my life insurance but my husband doesn't have, i' want to add him to some of my bank account once he visit this dec. but i need to get that alien certificate. (no idea how to get this).

aside from age gap, our religion different too. i'm not sure if there was a case muslim woman with foreigner here, it's kinda normal to see christian filipina with foreigner here. that's also our red flag. but it seems i just call myself muslim but people don't see me as it is, coz not a typical traditional muslim woman.

Wow! you guys look like age mates and you are so good together. With us, we also do not realize it unless we are looking at our identification documents. He is 23yrs older but we are so happy together.

It shall be well deefahd! i think all we need to do is proof to the officers that we are more than compatible with our partners..... your cute photos can clearly show!
