hello there mga kabayan...

me and my partner are on the process of applying for FSW... we are now waiting for medical request. now hopefully if we get the request we want to start applying for CRNE...

now concern now is that where do we begin with regards to CRNE? we wanted to apply in Ontario, but we aren't that experienced compared to you guys. we are jst on our early 20s. and i think compared to some of you guys here who have had lots of experience, we are now planning to apply for CRNE in Mannitoba..

please help us on where to start. thank you

to everyone who has applied for assessment/registration in CRNBC:

CRNBC received my application and all other validations from PRC,employer and school first week of August. I haven't received any correspondence until now.

Would it be okay if i'll try to make a call and make a follow-up?thanks.

hello khai, since all the senior nurses forummers are maybe already in Canada, let us continue this thread. ;D (they are not answering)...

I am now waiting for 2nd AOR, but i did not start yet my nursing registration. I want to start it when 2nd AOR is received. (just to be sure and more clearer path is acquired). Anyway, I am Phil educated also, but working here in GCC.

My question is, what province is this application for CRNBC?
what do you think is better BC or ONT?
how long did it take for your first application to get all these forms you mention?

:) hoping to hear from you soon.

Hi gcctocanada,

o nga eh..mukhang wala nang sumasagot..anyway, CRNBC is College of Registered Nurses in British Columbia. My mom is actually in Ontario but she suggested i apply for licensure first in BC since medyo malabo akong mka kuha nang eligibility sa ONtario kase16 years of formal education required dun. Mine is only 14 years. (6 years elementary education, 4 years secondary, 4 years BSN) and i only have more than a year of Hospital experience. She also noticed that other Filipino nurses in ONtario are having a hard time looking for nursing jobs. Should they pass the CRNE and land in a nursing job they would usually start in a clinic. Unlike in BC where nursing jobs are everywhere.

Took me about a week (or less) to complete the applications and other validation forms. Except the one in PRC which took me about 3 weeks before they were able to send it. :)

Really? then I will be thinking about BC also seriously...my agent suggested Ontario, i was just reading there website. we will just update each other through this thread, maybe some other new nurse applicants will join this week, then this thread will be maintained.

Some others suggested Manitoba. In my side, I don't have relative or close friends in Canada. so no province that I am really leaning towards. I also read here that my NCLEX is useless.

Yeah Khai, 1 thing, is the IELTS for Immigration (general module) good for the filing of nursing accreditation? or you took Academic?

:)

yes, it's ok. they will entertain you, sabi ng friend ko 2 wks lang daw reply cla agad thru email na na received nla application mo.

thansk desfer. I guess I'll just send them an email then.thansk ulit., :)

same here. i don't have a close relative sa manitoba kaya di ko rin kinonsider.Unlike sa vancouver kahit papano may mga acquaintances kami nang husband ko dun. I took NCLEX too pero di ko na dineclare kase i never got my license.California kase.

I actually took academic module. Took the ielts na kase when the new rule came out.plus i passed my application already before i found out na ang nka indicate sa instruction is GT. Nonetheless, inassure nman ako nang agent ko na okay lang yun.point is,my IELTS to prove your English proficiency.

Praying na ok lang talaga nga yun. :D

hello forummers, makiki sali ako sa inyo. Meron na akong eligibility from CRNNS and I also had applied sa CNO.

Share ko sa inyo experience ko sa CNO. A year ago I was deemed ineligible to take the CRNE even if I have a degree in Respiratory therapy and Nursing (16.5 years of full time edu). Thus CNO sent me the BET (Baccalaureate Equivalency Table) while asking me to provide extra transcript or employment experience. After my 1 year nsg experience I was able to accomplish the BET, na tapos ko din sagutan also makak provide na ako ng employemnt verification and transcript ko sa MAN . If will be assess differently by my assessor, then ok another 3 years of eligibility.

Masasabi ko lng sa CNO mahigpit sila sa Nsg education, doesnt matter how long your nsg exprience, they will be asking additional transcripts kaya nga meron silang bridging program. at medyo rude ang mga agents nila sa CNO hotline..ilan beses din ako tumawag eh. Total assessment time nila 2 to 3 months. Also you need to be in touch with your assessor if ever my assessment ka na. pwede kang humihingi ng allowaance sa kanya kung hindi mo mapapadala ang mga hinihingi ng CNO agad.

Sa CRNNS, medyo lenient pa ata sila kasi july 2009 pa ako nag apply sa kanila eh. after 1 week of submitting complete requirements my, eligibility na. Although wla naman akong plano mag work sa Nova Scotia, bahala na mag tramsfer na lng ng result ng ng CRNE result pag pumasa. I've read in other thread ang license ata medyo matagal ma endorse to other province. They require 2 years of safe practice then saka pa lang pwede.

I've emailed CRNBC to follow-up on my application and they sent a reply outright witht the following content:

Hello
We did recieve your application; however, it takes several months before a file can be created for an international applicant. Once your file has been created, you will be sent an email that provides your BC file number, and some information about the processing of your application.
Thank you for your patience, while you wait to be sent an email with your BC file number. You will also recieve subsequent updates after your file has been reviewed. These updates will be sent to you by email

Guys share ko lang,

I got the eligibility from CRNM(Manitoba). I am already on the list to take the CRNE on October 6. Applied for a visit visa last week. Hope it will be approved. CRNM gave me a referral letter addressed to the visa officer for the visa application. PR application isn't done yet, still waiting for medicals.

Could you answer please - do you have a bachelor degree? Or it is still OK for CRNM that you have 2-year nursing education to be eligible to take the exam?

;D

I do both. During my vacation sa Pinas last April nag review ako sa Careerworx, the only CRNE review center sa Pinas. Google mo lang nasa Ortigas Center ang office nila. i also purchased online, CRNE reviewer (Lippincot), and just last week I placed an order from CNA a CRNE reviewer book for June 2010 to 2015 exams. Thanks for the wishes and God Bless.
