Hi Rene,

Good day! I just want to ask because I got my IQAS Assessment too and it states.

COMPARATIVE LEVELS OF ACHIEVEMENT IN CANADA

"The combination of the High School Diploma and the Bachelor of Arts Degree generally compares to the co pletion of Grade Twelve, plus the completion of a three-year Bachelors degree with a focus in Anthropology.

The bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree generally compares to the completion of a three year bachelor's degree with a focus in Nursing."

I finished two degrees 4 years BA Anthropology and 2 years BS Nursing Is the last phargraph of assessment about BS Nusing Degree a positive one. Is there a good chance of getting eligibility right away in manitoba CRNM?

Thanks for your reply. It would relly help me a lot.

sa pag ka intindi ko ng letter nila... still they didn't count your other degrees, they still focused on your BSN, which basically means that they would count only as a 3 year program lang nila.. or you might say LPN...

but im not sure though... any inputs sa iba?

im applying for CRNBC... matanong lang...

sa form ko do i have to send a photocopy of my ielts result? or pwed na yung sa crnbc mag send directly sa result sakanila.. kasi may box sa form na "COPY OF PASSING TEST ENCLOSED (THIS TEST SCORE SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN ONE YEAR OLD)"

does this mean na kailangn ko po i attach yung result ko sa ielts sa application form ko?

pero meron din nakalagay sa english test scores na
* when applying for an english proficiency test, please arrance to have your test scores sent directly to CRNBC.

kasi if i have to attach a copy of my form, then i will have to wait until january para ma process ko ito kasi il get my result sa ielts sometime last week sa december or first week sa january na...

Hi kooks! here's the answer I received when i e-mailed CRNNS about this question:

"These changes came into effect November 1st, 2010. If you applied by submitting the Part I and paying the assessment fee before this date then this is not required for you"

6 months lan friend, I applied april 2009 dumating result Sept. 2009, tapos ang result nga, need to take SEC daw, then nag apply ako ng temporary resident visa in February 2010 and got denied, april 2010 i started my application as FSW (Sept. 2009 date f my SEC letter will expire in Sept. 2011)..

SEC reason - "after reviewing your file it could not be determined that you possess the knowledge and skills expected of a Registered Nurse in Alberta. Therefore, a decision regarding your application for registration as a registered nurse is pending upon the completion of Substantially Equivalent Competency (SEC) Assessment........." :(

Sept. 2010 i decided to apply in Manitoba (CRNM), October 2010 - my application returNed due to insufficient proof of immigration status :(

October 2010 sent an application to Nova scotia (CRNNS), November 27, 2010 (that fast!!) received the result saying "In order to determine if your education and experience has provided you with the competencies we expect of a registered nurse working in Nova Scotia we
require you to complete a general competence assessment..........
:(

December 1, 2010, took chance in sending a copy of my PPR to Mount Royal University in order to be booked for SEC Assessment in Alberta (visa is also required to be booked for SEC), Dec. 2 MRU accept my request and booked me for July 4-8, 2011 Assessment. :)

Dec. 2, 2010- also tried to get a schedule for Competency Assessment in Nova Scotia (medyo natatagalang ako sa schedule ko sa CARNA), Dec. 3 - CRNNS replied and gave me a tentative date of the assessment (March 15-16, 2011, 2 days only) :)

CARNA or CRNNS ? = still undecided ??? ??? ??? ???

FRIEND YAN ANG STORYA NG CANADIAN DREAM KO ::)

hi! i asked about the details of the bridging program at centennial college when i started with my cno application and this was their reply to my inquiry:
One of the requirements for admission to either of our bridging programs is a letter of direction from the College of Nurses of Ontario. The requirement varies for each individual and it would be inappropriate for me to make a generalization for any applicant. I suggest that you wait for the letter of direction from the CNO. Once you receive it, please contact me right away.
hope this clarifies your query. ;)

Hi,
I'm new to the whole Canadian immigration process. I have passed the screening exam online and I consulted a consultancy agency and they told me I am eligible for both the Federal skilled worker's program and the Quebec program.
I am a registered nurse with almost three years experience. I do know the French language however I do not have any certificate for it yet.
I heard recently that the registered nurse occupation on the list of eligible occupations for immigration may close soon. I would like to know your opinions on this matter. Should I proceed with applying through the Federal skilled workers program or the Quebec program?
And should I first apply to the board of nursing of the province I want to migrate to before I submit any of the immigration application forms?

Thank you!

Maharlika friend - sobra hirap tlaga, iniisip ko tuloy it has something to do with my nursing education/transcript etc. maybe they find something lacking, kasi yung iba naman nabibigyan ng eligibility right away eh lalo na sa CRNNS, well sa CARNA medyo mahigpit talaga,,yes dito ko philippines. I've been working as a nurse since 2006 (2nd course ko)

m2canada-Thank you,, sana nga MATAPOS NA TOH!!!GRABE NA!!!LOL :D

Hello to nurses who are applying for registration in British Columbia,

I received the result of my eligibility assessment and it requires me to undergo the SEC assessment. Does anyone here knows how to effectively prepare? I am aiming to pass the test. I want to take the registration exam and not to go back to school after the SEC.

Is there a review center in the Philippines who offers SEC preparation? I need help dear people.

check this out, its all about SEC... i will be applying for CRNBC once i take my ielts as well...

http://allnurses.com/international-nursing/faq-canada-substantially-387308.html

based sa friend ko, she said ang SEC, is like a return demonstration... or you will be in a room with beds, and patients and its a case scenario. and you will exhaust all your knowledge and skills on what ever scenarios they try to tell you... sort of like that

and there is no review for SEC here in the philippines.
