Hi Sultanali,

I have requested for assessment pack from CNO three times since december 2010.
But I didnot receive any reply from them so far.
I sent an email also to their contact address regarding this.
But no reply.
Can you please tell me how long they take to send assessment pack?
What can be the other option to get assessment pack?

Actually I already applied with CRNBC. Its on process. But I think we need to undergo SEC assessment
before we get our eligibility And it can be only done in canada. I have not applied for PR also yet as the cap reached for nurses. so I want to register with ontario

Please reply

you should phone them up as there is no other option a part from contacting them
Tel No: +1 416 928-0900

Ok thanks for ur information

Hi Sultanali,

Hope u got eligibility from CNO to take CRNE. I want to register with another province as for CRNBC, I may be required to undergo SEC. Therefore, Please tell me which province is easiest one to get eligibility. I mean without SEC or Bridging program.

Actually I did masters in nursing from India and have 6 years of experience. I consider CNO or nova scotia as there is no SEC. Mannitoba, not possible, bcoz no PR yet.

I received CNO assessment pack today and really confused. Meantime, I m waiting for my CRNBC result
Please advise me on this.

hi to all!!! I wanna join this thread since like all of you...I am also a Nurse who is applying under FSW 1 for Canada. My VO is Manila. I am just awaiting for my 2nd AOR.

I have already an eligibility letter from CRNNS (Nova Scotia). Infact, mine was a quick processing period. It only took me 3 months to get my eligibility letter for CRNE and temporary license. There was no SEC requirement nor additional canadian course or refresher course and the people working behind CRNNS were very professional to asnwer all my querries. More to that, they also launch 'their online application status to enable international applicants to enquire the status of their applications. Of course, you will be assigned with a password to enable you to access the site.

IELTS is indeed very necessary, but it is infact included as requirements for registered nurses in all Canadian provinces. But sad to say the CRNNS IELTS was changed and implemented just January 2011. They require a bit higher bands for each module. Just check their website.

Hope this info helps to those who wish to try CRNNS (Nova Scotia)...

Hi Faith ful,

SEC means an assessment which will be done by CRNBC in case if our education and qualification standard is not upto their expectation.

Nowadays they ask almost everybody to undergo SEC except few lucky candidates, not sure

the problem is we can undergo this assessment only in canada

To sultanali,

thanks a lot. Incase if I have any queries reg cno I will contact you

what further documents they have asked you to provide could you share them.

I need to send copies of current and all previous job descriptions - they need to have you name on job description. We have generic forms so I got my boss to put my name on it and to sign and stamp them stating they are mine.
Copies of all nuring licences.

I sending all awards I have received, copies of all the educational program I have completed, even the 1 hour on line educational programs I have done.
Need to send to each previous employer a form, verifying your employment with them and request for reference - mailed from them direct to CNO.
Verification of licensure from each nursing authority were you have had a RN licence.
Complete a document outlining your nusing career, when and where you worked (they can then compare job description/licensure/empoyment:reference form from previous employers.

The number of hours you have worked in the last 5 years.

Complete 7 BET (Baccalaureate Eqivalency Table)- essays on Enter-to-practice Competencies, they send you 3 examples.

I'm sending everything that supports my training and experience, hope this help

my timeline below. Just yesterday, submitted here in Riyadh working permit application too in parallel with my PR. Processing time for TRV (work permit) here in Riyadh is 6-8 weeks. Seems I will be landing first on TRV. Just read the website of CRNBC. Procedures on how to get registration are detailed in their website. God Bless.
