Hello. I’m getting mixed information. Can someone please help me out. I’m a Canadian and I want to sponsor my Pakistani husband for permanent residence.
I’m divorced, I sponsored someone before. I was told before that there’s no time to wait, I can sponsor someone else, and that the three-year financial undertaking is not a three-year ban on sponsoring someone else. But from what I read it seems like I can’t sponsor my new husband because it hasn’t been three years since my ex became a permanent resident.
is that true? Is there a time?
also, to add to that, my ex renounced his permanent residence. Does this mean that the three years vanishes? I can’t find any information about that online. He’s received confirmation that he’s voluntarily renounced his permanent residence.
