Hi ,

I applied for a new TRV for my 2 daughters, I hold a PR status since 2013,same thing for my wife and son, in 2016 ,we decided to move for good to Canada and my wife resigned from her job and we applied for TRV for our 2 kids who dont have PR, the embassy in Abu Dhabi gave them TRP for one year.

for family reasons, my wife and kids returned back to Abu Dhabi, and i stayed in Canada, now since our PR card will expire in July 2018, I applied TRV again for my 2 kids ,since their TRP was expired in 2017.

I got reply yesterday from the embassy that their TRV is rejected, the reason they gave was silly:

1- u will not leave canada at the end of ur stay.
2- family ties in canada and in country of residence
3- purpose of visit.
4-personal assets and financial status.

in the application, i stated that the purpose of the visit is to be reunited with parents that will sponsor them to become PR.

can u guys plz how to overcome the reasons they gave above so i can reapply again successfully.

what they mean when they say u will not leave by the end of ur stay, i wrote in the application that they will stay for 2 months, that is their mother's vocation period.

1. Not a silly reason, you told Abu Dhabi that you were returning to Canada for good, so they gave your children TRPs so you could sponsor them while living in Canada. You didn't sponsor them, and they and your wife returned overseas. So if you want your children in Canada, you are now going to have to sponsor them while they reside in Abu Dhabi.

As said above, not silly at all. They gave you the opportunity with the first TRPs and you wasted it.

You will need to be residing in Canada throughout the sponsorship process. You can take a few short visits. Also note that from the timelines you have given, your wife and son no longer meet the Residency Obligation. This means that they can be reported upon re-entering Canada and have their status revoked. You should consider having them renounce and sponsoring the whole family.

i gave my reasons why they had to go back to abu dhabi.

is there a certain numbers or limits to issue the TRP..!!, i was not working when I applied for the first TRP , but now i am working and they mentioned financial status in their reasoning, also they said purpose of visit, what 3 and 4 years old kids will do in canada other than reuniting with their father...!! and also they said, they are not going to leave canada after their stay..!!, why would they , i will sponsor them and its takes 10 month according to cic website, so what overstay they mean? they r not tourists

that is why i said it seems silly, also

i am in canada, i am planning to sponsor them as well while i am in canada

about ur suggestion to renounce my wife and son PR, now my two daughters had previous trp and when i applied 2nd time it was rejected, isnt this the same scenario if my wife and son renounce their pr status and once i apply again they will reject , they might think that they had 5 years to settled in canada and they didnt why they would be given 2nd chance?

if i got this route, what are the requirments to sponsor my wife and 3 kids, is there a financial requirments, and how much?

last week i sent my application to renew pr card, i think they will send my file to secondary review, becuz i wasnt here for long periods and i was on and off from abu dhabi to canada, shall i wait to get the new pr card or shall i go ahead and apply to sponsor my wife and kids.

There is no minimum financial requirement. You need to show you can support yourselves in Canada without welfare.

Provided you meet the RO, you can sponsor your family. You would need to have your wife and child renounce their status before applying to sponsor them.

You are also thinking about your children’s status in the wrong way. You applied for a trv for them so they will be treated the same as others applying for TRV. It seems like you may have just met your RO so yes it is likely you will end up in secondary review. If you do plan on going to visit your family be warned that it seems to take a few months to get a prtd to return to Canada based on the experience of some members on the forum.
