In December of 2017, I met my current girlfriend online. When we reached the point of our relationship for her to be comfortable for me to come visit, I went through all of the necessary U.S. steps to travel internationally. When I arrived at the border in December of 2018, I was shocked to find out I could not cross due to the fact I had a criminal record. The only item on my record was a bad check in 2010 in which I had to serve a year probation, which I completed and have had no more arrests, convictions, or tickets since. I obtained an attorney who specialized in Criminal Rehabilitation and I went through the process of completing the application and submitted it in April of 2019. I was granted a TRP the same month, only good for six months, in which I have traveled several times in the duration of the TRP before it expired. I was given a six month TRP and while I am still waiting on the Criminal Rehabilitation, I understand I will need another TRP when I travel again to visit my girlfriend and her family. What are the proper steps for me to obtain a second TRP and what price will I be expecting to pay? When we first met, her father was regressing in health and passed away two weeks before I was able to visit the first time. The first trip consisted of a celebration of his life. Now, as I go up to visit, what will the VO look for now as well when determining the need for a 2nd TRP?

You need to follow the same process for the second TRP that you followed to apply for the first TRP. Same fees, documents and evidence.
