Hi guys,

i am a 26 y. German Junior IT-Consultant (1 year experience in MS-ERP systems). I am planing to apply for a job in Canada. I read about job applications & visa conditions in Canada. If I find a job I would like to move to Canada in June/July.
1. I didn't apply for a job or a visa yet. Is my schedule too tight or is it possible to get everything sorted out by end of June/July?
2. I found 1 company which I would like to apply but the website points out that there are no vacant positions (atm). Could I still apply? Do you guys have something like a "proactive application" (meaning you apply for a job and maybe they still want you even though they are not currently searching for staff)?
3. There are a lot of salary sites out there (e.g. payscale), are the incomes for IT-consultants accurate? Do you know how much I have to cut off my salary because I am a junior (and a foreigner)? Cause I know i cannot claim as much as a resident but I still have to pay my student loan in Germany and I don't want to live like a backpacker either.
4. Should I mention in my job application that I spend 1 year in Australia (before uni and not working in the IT-field though) or is it a unimportant information for my job application?

Thanks for your help,

Christian
