???can someone help me regarding the converter? we are leaving in a month time for canada. should i bring with me a converter for the nebulizer i bought with 220v? or is converter much cheaper in canada??

it's 110 volts in Canada.

aren't converters heavy? it may take up a chunk of your airline's free baggage allowance unless you will ship it at a later time or willing to pay excess baggage...it's something to consider :)

Converter or step down transformer? You can bring with you a small one that way you're sure you can use it when you need it. Nebs are not used continuously anyway so you don't need the heavy duty transformer.

A pocket "step-down tfr" would be fine in most cases. They r 1.5" x 3.0" sized & costs $15.

Qorax

Be aware that it won't work for long though. Having come from the UK, I bought a converter for small items (cell phone charger etc)

It worked for about 3 months but then seemed to drain all power from the appliance. I had to go and buy new items with the Canadian voltage.

From my own experience, bringing electronic items from a different voltage Country was not cost effective and they never seemed to perform as well, even during the time the converter was working.
