I hope there will be a draw tonight.....

With regard to refugee workload, Bc_canada posted the following and it appears (as of 12 October) they were within 600 of reaching goal of 23,000.

Just some news ..

The government's goal is for all Syrian applications received as of September 19, 2015 to have a decision by the end of December. This will ensure that applicants and their sponsors are aware of the progress on their files.

...Of our commitment to resettle 23,000 Iraqi refugees, a total of 22,430 have been resettled in Canada as of October 12, 2015, through the government-assisted and privately sponsored refugee programs. The vast majority of these Iraqi refugees have been resettled from their last place of refuge, Syria. The government is on pace to meet the commitment.

I don't know think there is going to be any draw tonight.

Thank you for the news. I hope we EE candidates who have put our hearts and souls into the process are not cast aside. I'm at my lowest low tonight. Feel depressed and helpless. I honestly thought the Liberals would be good for us.

The liberals were sworn in on Nov 4th . It has been 2 days only since the new immigration minister assumed the office .. give him some time.lol

I believe they will come around. Just think they just formed the cabinet 2 days ago and we are expecting them to drop the score overnight. It will come down for sure but will take time.

No don't get me wrong. I'm not expecting them to reduce the scores. I just fear that a long time between draws makes the score go up. At least today even if its a high score then at least we know.

I was also told by an immigration lawyer today that they're unlikely to do a draw next Friday as its Friday 13th.

I'm stuck on 486 points and need an absolute miracle.

Talk about miracle. I had to decline 2 ITAs from 18 Sep and 02 Oct. Now when I'm ready to accept it the points went up and work permit is expiring in Feb.

Can I ask why you had to decline the ITAs?

I was awarded extra points for 2years of experience in 2 months advance. Was suppose to be 2 years in Mid October but somehow got points for it in August. That's why I had to decline it twice and now I don't see it coming anytime soon. :(

That's so interesting. Sounds like a software bug? That makes me nervous. I assume that the system has correctly calculated my score. Under what circumstances or how would I know if I gave to decline an ITA?

Apparently no draw tonight . I'm on 473 and will drop to 454 on 22nd of this month as I am getting married . Express entry wasted my one precious year of my life and now I see no hope . Weldone Canada.

Interesting I didn't know you lose points for being married. The way you've written it it seems like they only want single people to apply.
