2026 P1 - P2 to Ecopr Protected Person

Now more than 5 weeks waiting after p2 the next update is pending

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice from anyone with experience with a dependant of protected persons PR application in Quebec.

My timeline:

• Aug 2023: Parents made a refugee claim in Canada and included me as a dependent at age 20.
• Feb 2025: Parents’ refugee claim accepted; they became protected persons.
• Mar 26, 2025: CSQ application submitted to Quebec.
• Mar 27, 2025: PR application submitted to IRCC, with me included as a dependent outside Canada.
• Oct 3, 2025: IRCC requested IMM 5406 – Additional Family Information.
• Oct 8, 2025: IMM 5406 submitted.
• Jan 15, 2026: IRCC sent me a direct letter confirming my inclusion
• Jan 26, 2026: I submitted all requested documents.
• Jul 3, 2026: Received Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL) and Medical Examination Instructions.
• Jul 7, 2026: Biometrics completed
• Jul 9, 2026: Medical examination completed
• Jul 10, 2026: Medical results transmitted to IRCC.
• Now no update

Questions:

1. What should be the next step at this stage?
2. When can I realistically expect my CSQ, considering it was submitted on March 26, 2025?
3. After CSQ issuance, approximately how long does it usually take for PPR/final decision?
4. Does IRCC normally wait for the CSQ before finalizing the PR application?
5. Has anyone with a similar Quebec protected-person dependant application recently received their CSQ or PPR? If so, please share your timeline.

Any recent experiences or timelines would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I received my P1 email, then 4 days later I received my P2 email, and another 4 days later, I received my eCoPR.

I received my P1 last weekk and sent the reply email as well. However, I noticed that my phone was in power-saving mode, so the email appeared in dark colour. Is that okay, or should I resend the email? I'm confused about whether resending it could cause any problems.

Everyone's case and experience is different. Mine took 2 weeks all the time.
I got my p2 two weeks after p1, got my ecopr two weeks after p2. I got my pr card two weeks after Ecopr.

Since you said you received P1 last week and already replied, I would leave it as it is and wait for the next step (P2/eCOPR).
