Good day All,

Please I need the most help I can get from you.

My mother's PGP application is still in process since May 2019, She is currently with me in Canada on a visitors visa, but has being diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer. I am trying to look for how she can get treatment asap even if we have to pay out of pocket.

Please any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Very sorry to hear about your mother.

Generally you are referred to a cancer clinic / treatment centre. Where was she diagnosed? They should be able to refer her.

Yes, she is currently receiving radiation treatment, but they are just using the radiation treatment as a mitigation plan not a full treatment.

So she is already being treated through a clinic?

Have you spoken to them about full treatment? What did they say?

From our experience, it's best to return to home country for treatment.
It's not easy to seek treatment here without provincial health.
We were able to get emergency treatment (a surgery, few nights of hospital stay, follow up with specialist and visit to remove stitches).
But the actual treatment was only available after she rested and recovered from the surgery and returned to home country.
May be because the diagnosed was bad... There wasn't much treatment option available here.

We had travel insurnace (she was just visiting for 2 months) but it only paid a small portion of all the fees. We ended up paying most of it out of pockage.
