Guys, if you contacted IRCC regarding parents immigration by email, could you pls sent me a link on their email or email you used?
I tried to find it on their official site I couldn't.

Want to contact them as well and ask about the draw. Thank you!

Guy, there was a thread in this forum which was actively discussing about 2017 parents and grandparents sponsorship.
Anyone have the link for that thread.

Anyone had luck in receiving invite?

It seems that income requirement is for 2014-2016 now, not 2013-2015 for 2017 application, per CIC website.

Quoted:
Note: If you are applying in 2017, you must provide proof of income from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the taxation years of 2016, 2015 and 2014.

sorry, found it too. Hmmmm, interesting. i believe they changed that recently. That's a bad sign. 2016 ends at the end of the month.

So it's likely we will only hear from CIC May 2017 onwards. Maybe even later in the year when the NOA for TY2016 are finally sent out.

All - Do you not think this a little unfair to the people who followed the instructions and didn't apply since it asked for 2013 as well ? They explicitly had a note stating that, and it is now modified?

In the other thread with now has gone missing, I asked why they won't consider tax returns for 2016, and people just jumped on me asking why I applied despite the instructions were very specific. I am glad I still applied considering that now they are accepting most recent three years tax returns. :p

"Option C print out or Notice of Assessment (NOA) issued by the Canada Revenue Agency for each of the three most recent taxation years"

It is one of those teething problems when transitioning to a new system.

I am guessing the new timeline would be to submit expression of interest in Jan. They conduct the lottery in July. Notifications of success/try again go out in August. NOAs will be required for preceding 3 years (given that applications will come in after families have received their NOA for the previous year). It means that they make sure the financial assessment is more current. It might be a good or bad thing for some families for this year as their financial status might have changed in 2016. (eg Alberta had a lot of layoffs).

In any case we just have to wait.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
