whats the longest background check delay ? We have been in background check since 9 month and 2 weeks !!!

She passed all process (medical exam, interview, etc) by 17 april 2018
Pre arrival received by 20 april 2018
Since then we are in background check for arround 9 month and 2 weeks

My medical exam expired on September 2018. However, the local MP in Canada was able to extend it by a year
It was unlikely due to the MP. CIC extends it often for young and healthy.Hi,
