Okay so i am beyond hopeless at this point.
I am sponsoring my husband and i am waiting for him in canada with our 3 kids.
We submit the application march 2015 .
They asked for another updated medical on august 2016 and then again for more additional info on Nov 2016.
The application has been processing for two years. We contacted them and they say that it is at the background and security stage. They also said our applocation needs "additional varifications".

My husband is not working and I am not working either. Could that be why its taking so long?
Anyone here on the same boat as me:( this seems so endless

I cant believe it is taking so long!

It's possible the fact that neither of you are working is increasing the processing time. How are you supporting yourself and your children in Canada?

Which country is your husband from? Where is he living?

I an a university student. I live with my parents currently and i support myself with chikd tax since i dont oay rent. I am sponsoring him from Iraq. It has been stuck on the security check for so long i dont understand why.
Could they possible refuse us? I have been waiting for two years this seems endless and hopeless my friend sponsored her husband from the same country and they have no kids and he came within 4 months.

Although being unemployed doesn't make you ineligible to sponsor, they also want to see that you are capable of supporting your husband without him going on social assistance. Being a student and living with your parents with 3 kids, they might question as to how you're able to support your husband if you can't even support yourself.

I have already included a joh offer though. When we filed an applocation i have inclided a letter from someone who offered me a job so I dont understand why its taking long. My family also said they wil support us

Yes, the job offer is open. Basically whenever I want to work the job is there for me. So when he comes i can work right away. I have a newborn so i cant work now
