My partner is Australian, but we live in the Netherlands at the moment, so assumed our application would go to Vienna.

You can choose based on nationality or residence, CIC will send it to the faster office for you, so Ottawa is nice for you. no point backlogging more apps.

Someone had problem accessing the ECAs today? yesterday was all normal and now I can not access my application, the site says not found.
I tried several times and the information is correct

It's not working, dont worry, now you are at stage 2 no real need for ECAS, your visa office will keep you informed of everything.

I don't understand your question, please can you explain it better, all January 2015 applicants have been approved in Mississauga and those applications are now being processed in visa offices within and outside Canada depending on where the person is living.

It's not working, dont worry, now you are at stage 2 no real need for ECAS, your visa office will keep you informed of everything.

Almost done for my spouse's application and I'm just wodrin' if it's really required by cic to label back photos of details like date,event,who took the photo and name of those in the photo?
Did anyone from the previous applicants submit their application without writing anything on the photos?

One of the reasons why it is important to label pictures is that it gives the agent a look at your relationship history with the people in the pictures otherwise they could be of anything and means nothing to someone who does not know you. I labelled and dated my pictures and put them in order of when they were taken after all it was part of the proof of the progress of our relationship.

Absolutely, do everything you can to make it as easy as possible for the officer to read and follow. If you want to save time you can just name you and your spouse on a few photos then on the rest write the date and occasion, such as holiday, lunch etc. You are trying to paint a picture of your relationship over a period of time so dates are very useful to the officer so I would take the extra time to write that information on.

I wrote names, dates and the occasion on each photo and put them in chronological order in bundles based on the year, in my case from 2010 until 2014. It is alot of work but it will be worth it in the end. I don't think it is necessary to write who took the photo however.

A few days after that it started giving me this: "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons: Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again..." I can still log in with my own name and file number and see my part of the process, but I can no longer see the sponsorship. I mean, we got the SA letter in an email, but I was waiting for it to change form "in process" to "decision made" in ecas. Now that it is giving the current message, I'm afraid something has gone wrong! I'm probably just being paranoid though.

AOR = Acknowledgement Of Receipt of your application. If the file has been forwarded to India that would indicate that you have been approved as a sponsor and the file has been forwarded to the appropriate Visa Office for processing in India which is New Delhi. Official processing time is 16 months and can be found here:

For the 67 applications on the spreadsheet for 2015, the average time to AOR is 56 days and 4 days more to SA. Arrival in VO is about a week more, depending where. However, if you drop out the 3 applications under 20 days to SA, then the average wait for AOR goes up 64 days.

This is Kevin, I've a newbie to this forum but I've logged on to this forum almost everyday. Here is my case:

CIC received my app on February 2, 2015
I've a an email from CIC on March 28th, 2015 saying they have received it.

I've seen several end of Jan 2015 applicants have received their SA, but I've not received it. I think mainly because I was working in Canada for the past three years and just returned to Canada because of Job Offer (Which was included in my application).

Just wonder if any early Feb 2015 applicants have received their SA yet? Best wish to everyone!!!

As of the moment based on our spreadsheet the first week of February just started receiving AOR... there is a few lucky ones who got SA ahead of time but that doesn't mean your application is left behind. As long as you are still under the processing time indicated on the CIC website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/times/perm-fc.asp).. there is no need for you to worry yet and I don't think your job offer will affect the time you'll received your AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) because basically this is just the time CIC opened your application and started processing it. You'll probably hear from them this week or next week.. Goodluck and happy waiting
