Reading about the dates you all post here, to me it looks like the processing time is around 2-3 months, but it takes the CIC around 6-8 weeks to register the application but once it's done than they make the SA decision in a week or two. Am I correct?

I only wrote the address itself. Could that be the problem why I still haven't had any updates?

Oh no! Don't worry so much.. I know how you feel and we all go through this stressfull feeling, but your package was received by the same person who received most of ours, so don't worry they have it! Also I sent my application just with the address, it said absolutely nothing on the package and I was so worried, but I received AOR and SA. Trust me, everything will be fine.. just try and be calm.

Do something to take your mind off it. The moment I stopped checking my email every 5 minutes, I received info.

I would verify with the call centre to see if they placed your file in the inland pile like they did to me.......

I just called the CIC and since I am currently not in Canada, they wont be able to help me regarding my issues. I dont even know what to do anymore..

But its been how many weeks, and everyone seems to be receiving updates. And I dont. And I called the CIC and they told me that only those who are in Canada can have their phone services.

Thats not true... Call 416 944 4000 and connect to immigration canada. Is that what you did?

My doctor in Cyprus who will send it to the central office in the Uk then it will be sent to my VO. So that may be the case all around the world.

Panamai, we sent our applications on the same day, CIC seem to be very slow this week, have you heard anything yet? My guess is next week for us.

I was thinking they were moving more slowly this week and then I realised we don't have many people on the spreadsheet who sent theirs in the 20th-30th frame, so they could very well be doing them. I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm estimating no later than the end of next week too. Crossing my fingers!

No, I am in Canada. But I have tried calling this number when I am in Pakistan. It should take you to a call centre agent.

Call this number 613-944-4000. I am currently not in Canada, working the US so that 1800 number is useless as it only applies to people calling from canada. Once you get to the prompt, click 1 for immigration, 1 for check the status of your application and what i do is press 2 for change of address then once the robotic lady starts talking press 0 to get transferred to an agent, try calling in the morning when they open at 8 am as you will get through to them faster.

Yeah, I just called again. And they said they will not give out information if I am not inside Canada.

I just called CIC. I sent them my form on the 16th of March, there is still no confirmation that they have received it ( I e-mailed to them as that is what they asked me to do)

Do you think I should send another copy of the form to them? Like post it to them? The agent told me to call again NEXT MONTH!!! I can't sit around for that long not knowing whats going on? Or maybe I should wait til next week? I CANNOT WAIT another month!!! :-\

Yupyyy... just received SA this morning (March 26) after receiving AOR on March 25!!! Our application was received by CIC on January 23.
