you mean that CIO-NS do in all cases the check that the package contains all the required documents and considered as complete, then forward it to the Visa office you requested for processing. At which the actual check (Security, criminility, ... etc.) will be done.

In your case what is the visa office you mentioned in the application?

Yeah. I put CIO-NS for the visa office. My initial check was done at CIO-NS at the same time they changed my status to 'in process.'

We received your application for permanent residence on July 15, 2013.

We started processing your application on September 24, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

This is what my status says. My application turned in process immoderately after aor. But nothing after that. So don't rely on statuses too much

yeah you are right and what is you visa office mentioned in your application ?
which office did send AOR and MR?

i got it but as i mentioned in my post.

ter the visa office finishs the checking, it will forward it to CPP-ottawa for final review, right?

Your primary visa office is CPP ottawa not CIO NS right? It seems to be the norm for CPP ottawa to not update to 'in process' from what i've read.

That's a good question. I sent my application and subsequent documents to Sydney NS. Correspondence received so far has been from Sydney NS. So I reference that location even though the Processing Times page only mentions Ottawa.

Yeah, my application is in CPP-ottawa waiting final review as far as I know.

another question, requesting additional documents in my case falls under which office responsibility?

If you don't explicitly put CPP-Ottawa and you're an inland applicant they will do initial check at CIO-NS.

CPP-ottawa.. CIO-NS does a superficial review and then sends AOR, they do a more in depth review in the initial check and they asked for additional document then.

but it seems that CIO-NS is considered as VO and in this cas CPP-Ottawa do the final review and issue PR

Ottawa-CPP. I didn't even think Nova Scotia was an option when completing the form.
