Hello!

Once you get your PNP nomination then you have to submit your PR application including Application Fee.
They will send you your Immigration File No. Then you have to wait for the Medical Request.
Once they receive your medical results you have to wait if your Ecas has changed to In-Process... Usually they will send an RPRF with the Medical request. In my case I haven't got a request to pay RPRF yet.

Once everything has been reviewed by an Immigation Officer then they will make a decision accordingly.
They will send PPR and after once you've received your passport with the ViSA then you can do Landon at the boarder... :)

Dear Cyntact11

Thanks a lot for your Res.

What I understood is; I shall get PNP then PR both before landing, isn't it? Pl confirm.

Thanks

Hello Finance007

PNP is a provincial certificate that qualifies you t o apply for permanent residence under the provincial nominee stream. Once you get it, you can then apply for permanent residence from within or outside Canada. You can only do your landing after your permanent residence application has been approved. Hope that helps.

Hello

I have a question for those of you who have recently got the passports back is the stamped visa on it. What is the validity of the visa?? Is it one year from the day you got your medicals done??

Thanks

my ECAS shows "In Process" since Dec 03/13.
I saw many people already received PPR eventhough their file was in process later than mine
Should i be worried?

Hi marcolee,

I was wondering the same thing. There are some people here that completed their process far faster than anyone I know personally. Here are our dates:
BC PnP approved April 2013 (we live in Canada)
submitted federal form to Nova Scotia in July 2013
Received medical request letter from Nova Scotia in September 2013
Completed Medicals in October 2013
Received request letter for and submitted police certificates in December 2013

We haven't heard anything since. We were a little concerned that they don't acknowledge receipt of our police certificates.
But, someone I know locally who has gone through this process told me that this is normal.

Everyone personally that I know here that has gone through this has taken 13 months or more from the day they filed the application with Ottawa.

I suppose we'll wait until early summer before inquiring with CIC regarding status.

What do you think?

@hfinkel ...

i have almost the same timeline as you ..
my status on ecas is still "Application Received/Medical Received".

what is your current status? When did you send your last inquiry email to CIC?

Hey Arora,

I had sent it at 6pm yesterday. (March 6th)
the lady at the counter said If I would have had sent it before 5pm, would have reached Ottawa today.
But it will be reaching Monday. Did yours reach?

Yes mine reached on Friday.

Ecas changed to IN-Process: we started processing your application March 5. Lord we thank you.
