For those who asked about the experiences here in Winnipeg. It's still cold. We experienced extreme weather conditions. We arrived here on February 11, 2014. Lots of work advertised but still you need to have canadian work experiences. You need to have referral for your job applications not included your friends and relatives. Driver's license is very important. You need to have a car and to pass driving tests. Most of the time it's a requirement because they see to it that you arrive to work on time. Canadians are kind. Well, most of them. It's always important that you confirm and call back when you are asked to do so. It reflects your personality there. Do not get late.

Bus fare is 2.55 but you can get bus transfer ticket. Invest in winter jackets and shoes. We have not experienced discrimination so far. You have to be consistent on everything you said and declared since you applied.

I know this is off topic but somebody from this thread asked.

Thanks. I hope these informations help.

YES - if you are sending through Canada Post Xpresspost service, please send it to PO Box address. Make sure you include a copy of your PPR e-mail; also you can indicate PR application number on the envelope (personally i didnt do that but i read some where on this forum). It took around a week in my case to send the passports and get them stamped with PR visas - again this timeline could vary from case to case, but the whole process wouldn't take too long !!

Congrats for PPR and good luck with rest of the process.
Thank you for the information. I shall do it today.
And good luck with your process as well.

I'll check status in ECAS again later in the day really hoping we're next!
