Hi,

I'm on a study permit and working as part time. I work 8 hours on Tue and Wed and 4 hours on Thurs. Since July 1 (wed) is a statutory holiday, my boss asked me to work on another day which is Mon for 8 hours so that I don't need to work on July 1, but they will still pay me for the holiday. My question is, will the holiday be included in countinh hrs per week? Will I exceed the 20 hours if I work 8 hrs on Mon, 8 hrs on Tue, 4hrs on Thursday and get the 8 hrs statutory pay on Wed?

Hello! @ggv13

I have the same question.

Could you kindly tell me how statutory holiday pay (i. e., getting paid without working on that day) is considered when counting off-campus work hours?

Are the statutory holiday hours included in the week's 20 hour limit?

I'd really appreciate any information from anyone here who may know about this. Thank you!
