2 year Pgd + 3year stay back....

Dear friends,

I got admission in Lambton college for 2 year course(1 year diploma+1year PG diploma)....why I take this course is that after completing 2 year course in Canada one will get 3 year stay back. But recently I heard that this 3 year work permit after 2 year course in college is going to take out from Canada.They provide only 1 year stay back after 2 year course. Is it true, you people got any information about this..............Pls replay to me...........

Either you heard it wrong..or completely imagining and in process you may develop a situation of chaos and confusion among those forum members aspiring to study & work in Canada in near future. There's no such rule coming..and there won't be any time soon. Present PGWP rules are here to stay.

Btw, form where u "heard" it? Always verify the information...and don't believe in anything you "Hear".

You may be worried because you might have seen the news that BC has finished the PGWP. But the detail of this news is that it was a pilot project of 2 years, launched by BC where they added more PRIVATE colleges to their list of PGWP program. These colleges were monitored and some of them are removed from the list of PGWP applicable colleges. This order was just for few colleges which didn't perform to the desired standards. In near future, there is no such issue of taking out the PGWP.

Actually I got this information from one of my friend, who is studying in Centennial College Canada. He told that he got the information from trusted person one who is working in international firm...but yet not confirmed...He told tht at the end of july he will get the detail report....this news worried me lot thts why I put this in forum bcoz I choose 2 year course only based on this...

If that's the case... we will come to know by the end of July. And by chance.. say something like that happens... there will be adverse effects on the students from the developing countries studying/planning to study in Canada... and not to mention the ramifications on the Canadian economy...
But I'm sure..that your friend must have heard something else...and that they will never remove PGWP... not until the economy becomes totally messed up... something like that of UK/E.U... and that's not happening with Canada anytime soon.. atleast it looks so for now...
I guess.. we got nothing... but to sit tight and see...what's gonna happen...
