Anyone in the same boat? Or have any ideas? Re my proof of citizenship by descent application.
It's been 2 months since I received my AOR (with UCI & Application number)
but still nothing shows up on CIC's status-checking website. Worried!
Maybe citizenship by descent applications, being a relatively small part of CIC's workload, might not get entered into their status-checking system??
MUCH THANKS. Dennis Havlena Mackinac Straits, northern Michigan

Your case is different. People here can't really help you cuz nobody knows much about the "descent" processing.
Most people in this section are applicants for Grant of citizenship(naturalization).
I imagine it would take them quite a while to verify everything before they respond to you, it will definitely take time.

Write letter to CPC-Sydney for status update (link for address of CPC Sydney):
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/sydney.asp

It's only 2 months, which is nothing. Expect a long wait (few months) at least.
Write them a letter asking for status is the best u can do.

Cases are not always in eCas. Typically requests for documents are not there. For your document the website states that timeline is 6 months. So, you should be fine.

I received my certificate 6 weeks after I got notification with case number, etc--and I never could find it in the case-tracking tool on the website. Good luck!
