2 months 10 days and still no PR!

Hi all,

I entered Canada through Montreal Trudeau airport (had to land in Quebec as I am a Quebec skilled worker with CDS) on the 12th of last October and finished my landing papers and had to head back to my home country as I still have around 8 months of my work contract to finish before I can come back and settle in Canada. I have provided a mailing address for a friend of mine in Montreal, but till now I did not receive my PR card in the mail. I am trying to use online telephony applications to call service Canada center as it can only be reached from inside Canada but no luck! Any suggestions? I know it's holiday season but now CIC site says 61 calendar days for processing PR. isn't that including holidays?

we landed at the end of october and received the cards 2 days ago

i,m new landed immigrant in canada i land here october 10 2013 still waiting for pr card any body know how long they take to send pr card via mail . i also provide my mailing adress when i landed any body here also waiting for pr card here reply pls thx ..??

Am assuming the delay is caused by the holiday season then! Does anybody had to update their address online to the one they provided at the border during waiting to receive the PR?

The delay at the moment is 65 days + however long it takes for the PR card application to actually be received. In my case, I landed over a month before my PR card application was registered as received on ECAS. So, I am looking at 100+ days....

Thanks for the info. Did u have to change ur address online or was it changed automatically? And is there a way to check online to see when the PR application was received? In my case, whenever I log on ECAS I only get the info that I entered Canada on that date and my application was complete! Which was the same status since I landed.

My address was changed to the one that I gave the CBSA officer when I landed. I didn't have to do anything.
My ECAS automatically updated when the PR card application was received. It now shows both my "landing" details and the new PR card application info (in process).

i call to call centre regarding my pr card they send me email send ur 2 pictures again for my pr card i send already .my question is i forgot to put pictures with date and stamp on backside the pictures . i just put pictures without date and stamp so pls let me know they accept my pix or they send me back thanks and good luck to everybody

hi zardoz, my ecas is also updated with new Canadian address and a line that I entered canada on such and such date and became permanent resident, but no status for PR card is shown ! Does this in process line appear after the line which says that you have already landed !! I am in the sixth week now. And does it further get updated when PR card is delivered to you, has it been done in your case !Thanks

No, it shows as a completely separate application. It has it's own "application received" and "in process" entries.

I used the same login details as for the PR application. They display on the same page.

but in my case only my Canadian address is updated so far and a line that I landed ......and became permanent resident, that's all

I just landed on Dec 19. Mine has not been updated either. I don't know how long it takes for that information to be put up though, or if it's up to individual officers/offices like it is for the standard PR applications. I know my eCas didn't even show a DM until the day before I landed.
