My boyfriend sent an open work permit app a while back, but is not likely to have an answer before his current work permit expires (got mixed up with processing times and thought it took less time than it does..)
So I was wondering if he could now apply to stay in Canada as a tourist, just to buy some time so that he can stay until we have an answer on the work permit?
