im not pr, yet :P hopefully i will someday soon.

* anyway, my husband might change his job after my paperwork is done, this job includes alot of travelling. The company would be willing to pay my travelling also(when the trip is more than 4weeks), with my hubby.
How this would affect when if i would come and go with him?
And how they will know I have been living in country 2years of 5year period, if i just take short(4weeks to 6months maybe) or so trips?
Of course i will take care of it, that i will stay inside 2years :D But how they know :D
Also would it be good to carry some kind of proof when i leave and come back with my hubby? and what that would be?AAAAaand last but not least, what is the 1year 10month or 2year 4month thing? :DD

* im applying with my maiden name. i know i will receive my pr card with my maiden name. i want to change my name after the process to my husbands last name. I will get new passport asap the pr process is done. Do i have to apply new pr card also?? Or can i use the one with my maiden name even if my passport there is my new last name?

Thank you if you can help me with this :) :-*

If your husband is a citizen, then as long as you're living with him, that will count to maintain your residency obligation. You will keep your PR status.

If he's not a Canadian citizen, you'll have to maintain the residency obligation by being physically in Canada 2 years out of 5. You'll have to keep records and show proof if necessary that you're maintaining your residency obligation in order to be allowed back in to Canada, and/or apply for a new PR card when it's time to renew it.

Thank you :)

That's awesome news. i was so worry about that :)

i will save all the planetickets, lease etc.

2/5years, how they know?Changing name to pr card

Can someone please give me advice for the changing name question?? Do i have to order new pr card
right away when i get my new passport. timeline is like 200days :o im pretty sure, i have to travel before i get new one.
is it ok to travel even if my passport is different name and pr different???

thank you so much for all your help!
