My 4-year eligibility period for Canadian citizenship starts in August 2021. I had a trip abroad of over 183 days, but most of it happened before this period — only about 2 months of it fall within the 4-year window. For the 183-day question, is it based on the full trip length or only the portion within the eligibility period?
