336 atleast reflects that pattern of rational increase is peristent rather than big quick numbers. So its make me believe that CIO didnt get tons/loads of applciations. Its working through it prudently in systematic way. :D :D :D

New member here. Let me add to the well-debated theories going around...

- Those few people whose CC's already got charged or BN's withdrawn are hands-down highly qualified that the officers never thought twice of accepting. Question is - how did CIC manage to thoroughly background check those people?

- Just because you submitted your papers early doesn't necessarily mean you're in. If you're score is borderline 67, the officers may put yours aside temporarily and process more applications in order to accommodate more qualified and deserving people. Just like when hiring employees they wait a little bit to get a better candidate. So my theory is that they have some kind of a temporary waitlist.

- "Complete Applications Received" should be taken as "complete appications received", literally. I think there is a separate group that does completeness check and another one that does in-depth assessment. So complete applications still have to go through background checking, verification, etc. If the initial 500 didn't pass the thorough assessment, CIC will tap on their reserve (ranked by submission date and score).

Feel free to criticize this theory. Thanks.

I think, if candidate has 67 or 77, won't make difference. Because if candidate has 67 points (which is pass score), officer can not simply say no, because points are 67.
-In the forum, you can find posts, which suggests that guy(s) had 72 or 77 points, but his IELTS score was low, and officer asked him to re-submit IELTS score to get qualify, So having 5 or 10 points more than 67 won't change officer's mind-set.

if one guy has 67 points, and his application reached there on 10th of month,
another guy has 77 points but his application reached there on 20th of month;

and limit is reached and they need to pick one guy, are you suggesting that they pick will second guy? - I don't believe in that, because that's cheating with guy whose application reached on 10th, and he has 67 (pass score).

There is no end to wait for better/highly qualified candidate? Today if one application is reached there, then are you suggesting that they will wait for another application and put that guy on hold?
Even if they get another application which might be better candidate; then following your assumption, shouldn't them wait for another application, they might get even better candidate? till when they can follow this approach & wait?

So that there is not ambiguity and they need not to wait for better & better & better candidate; they have rules (like any profession organisation) to follow.

So I don't agree what your say.... ;)

I think their waiting period is also time-bound. They can't just wait and wait. They had to stop at some point. As long as they feel the other guy is more qualified then I assume they would pick him instead. After all, even tough there is a set point system, awarding of points will still be subjective depending on the reviewing officer. They can't accurately compare a 1-year experience of one guy with another, can they?

They dont have a wait-time list, at first the CIO doesnt count points!!! the CIO just chek the documents, It must have already complete, if your documents are complete so you are in the "cap" the people who sends their documents first are in advantage... then the VO will check your points with accuracy.

Good news folks. I can also report that sometime between Aug 2nd and 3rd my CC was debited for fees... Yay!

Please update my details in spreadsheet, as per below:

app sent: 30th june 2011
app received: 6th july 2011
app received by: KRSZWDA
mode of payment: CC - fees taken on Aug 2nd 2011
destination: vancouver
agent: no

Please keep the faith and positive thinking people. I'm a 6th July applicant so they are slowly making their way through applications. I expect other forum members to gradually confirm their CCs are debited, and BDs encashed. Be patient.

Like someone else said on this forum, this is the first step. We still have to go through eligibility reviews, medicals etc, but I can breathe a small sigh of relief for getting through this initial stage!

Thanks for all the support. Will keep you updated.
Hey ScottishK... what time did your application reach CIC on 6th July? Can you please this as well in your status...

Ok, then what if someone is ok with his documents and therefore he/she will increase the number in the cap by one. After while VO will check his documents and conclude that he/she is not eligibile ( I DO NOT wish this to anyone) and the documents will be returned. What will happen with the overall number in this cap? Will it be decreased ?

Hi Folks,
I sent my completed documents via Aramax on 01 Aug 2011 from Dubai, and delivered to KRSZWDA Citizenship on 4th Aug 2011.

Category - FSW1
NOC Code - 1122
Visa Office - Abu Dhabi
IELTS - Included
PCC - Included

I need your advise on my following queries at this time -
1) I see that 336 applications (under NOC 1122) have already been received as on Aug 4 - I would like to know does this number suggests the no. of applications received at their office OR the total number of application duly secreend and OKed by them ? I guess in the later case, does CIC would have informed all these 336 applicants already that their application is received and under process with them ?

2) Since I made fees payment through Bank draft, wherein the bank already debited the money from my account at the time of issuing the draft, how would I know as & when CIC enchases that amount ?

3) what are the next steps for me - when do I get to hear from CIC (on file number or otherwise) ? Do I receive an email or postal letter ?

4) With the new processing process, how long is the wait time these days to hear from CIC, the first time ? Days? Weeks? Months? Years ? ;D

Since I am new to this forum, request you to update the spreadsheet.
I am really hoping that my application makes it to the cap. Good luck to everyone too !!!

Hi IndiatohCanada,

Firstly congrats veere for first milestone n all d best for things ahead.
few quick questions (I plan to send complete application next year - 2012 July):
1. Did u engaged some agent or agency like canam, Yaxis? If yes which one.
2. Can you guide me with intial steps to strt off with file preparation, though i would be going through CIC website throughly.

I think someone else also went through with Y-AXIS if probably guide me over their experience in hiring Y-Axis as comsultant for this.

many thanks :p
