Dear friends, I had submitted my application on 14 July. Tomorrow it will be exactly 6 weeks from the date of application. Should I email them tomorrow and ask whether my application is accepted for processing? OR should I wait 6 weeks from the delivery date (20/07/11)?

Did anyone whose CC was charged got there file numbers?

I want to understand what is the next process as my CC was charged on 11th August but have not heard anything from CIC after that....

How much time do they normally take to issue the file number and does receiving a file number guarantees that your file will be transferred to the Visa Office.

This is a very sensitive issue. CIC will definitely try to charge the CC again. it has happened before where cc charge was successful on 2nd or 3rd attempt. I used VISA debit card and have sufficient funds therein.

looks like this forum has slowed down too like the CIO. two/three weeks ago we had two pages of comments a day. now it is hardly a page in two days. ;D

guess some of us are worried about CC/BD charge and some are sitting back with a canadian beer. too bad i don't like beer

Cc charging has been reported only till July 13, so no need to worry now.....

wow. that gives me some hope cause mine went in on 12th July. but also concerned if mine was succesful. guess there is no logic in the manner in which CC's are charged.


i can't find "jason123" anywhere on this forum. is he/she from another forum of another site?
