Regional passport office ???? I applied to CID for my earlier PCC and for renewing, do we have to apply through Passport office or what?? I was not aware of this thing.... Thanks ofr this update as well....

If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier. Police certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. However, if a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one.

Kids don't have to medicals as far as I know.

If the VO requests you for a new PCC ,you can get it from Regional Passport Office.

Not all are updating their status regularly: some may be just busy with day to day work that's probably why we don't see all updates from members. not all are regular on this forum either.

we should get updates from cic to update... lol
and we are reporting same things again and again. cic is way to slow and i am already pissed from this behavior.

i am still reading in the post that they are still opening up july first week apps. this systme is so confusing that it will only confuse you more if try to go into it..

RPO charges 300/- for PCC. It will take a week or two as you have already taken PCC last year.How much time it took to get PCC issued from CID & the charges?

mine application reached on 12th aug so by 26 th aug it is 42 days after received date so should i send an email to cic to know my application ststus or should i wait for another month or 2?

it was normal..... As you know our CID.....
It took around 25 days to get the PCC....and money if you ask official it is Rs. 300 per application and that is also by DD.... But cash...... They may ask for multiples of that..... so asking about the same that renewal is required /must as per CIC norms.... so again.......

It takes 15 days to get PCC from CID...Charges = 100 INR (DD) + upto 500 INR (bribe during PCC collection)...can't get away without giving bribe..

500 is very nominal......

If your payment is not processed even after 6 weeks you can email them to know the status of your application. But this year CIO has huge backlog, as some members lately whose file reached after mid July are getting replies of no records/may be in queue for initial processing & to inquire again after 2-3 weeks.
Still you can email & get a reply from them directly.

We got ours done from Regional Passport Office (RPO).

Rs4000 for two PCC certificates??
I got the two certificates without any charge from the SP office - I was surprised that the police did not ask for any payment. Ahh the bribe - I just acted ignorant so the guy dint even bother, after realising that he isnt going to get anything from me.

Dear Sir/Madam,



Please be advised that your application was returned with all attachments on 06 Sept 2011 as the cap of NOC 1122 has been reached.



Please note: all returned applications are sent via regular mail to the mailing address as entered on the application form. There is no tracking number. Once the application is mailed, its delivery is the responsibility of the postal service.

i submited pcc from RPO with the application. i got it from rpo on the same day.

Yes you can get it same day too but you have to collect it from their office in person or they mail it by registered post .
