if the next draw happens within one or two weeks, points will fall below 470. Longer the gap, cutoff will be higher :(

I posted this in the other chat

Like everyone else, I've been following the draws closely and my observation is that is that if the assumption on the low end is that +/- 10% of the immigrants to Canada will come from the pool that works out to about +/- 25,000 people. In theory the CIC can make 2 draws a month ranging from 1000 to 2000 selections each draw (so averaging 1500 each bi-monthly draw or 3000 ITAs a month) and they will meet their quota. So strategically they have no incentive to rush to bring score down. Making small bi-monthly selections allows as many people to enter pool (so for example those with great scores but waiting for WES or something). Over 6 month period CIC just selects the best of the best as indicated by score. It's a brilliant recruitment technique

Thoughts ?

Do 380 stand a chance to get ITA this year??? Looking at the trend i dont think they want below 450 and also once job banks starts then points shall shoot up. Also, not to forget the number of new entries coming in pool daily...

Do I still have a chance?? ?

Lets hope for the best. Even candidates like me who are above 400 but less than 450 still dont know. All we can do is just wait and pray. Else appear for IELTS again to improve your score

There will be definitely a draw within this week and score will go back to 400-450 again!
Because there is no possibility to cut-off at 500+. The candidates with job offer or PNP already got in last draw.
The logic is, the candidate with job offer or PNP will be at least having 150 (+600) points. So no cut off between 500 to 750.
The new candidates added with PNP or job offer within this week (may be few hundreds) will be also included in the next draw.
The number can be again same say around 1500....
So don't loose hopes... be happy.. Cheers!

I doubt CRS will go below 450 in 10th Draw. Simply because 9 draw was happened after a month and cut off was 755. So there are many candidates sitting around 450 to 500 mark score. Heart says score should come down to 415 to give chance to all of us for invite but mind says it will be around 455.

I agree with you. But it gradually decrease. Depends on inflow of candidates with high CRS. Anyway, how much will be human capital score for 755 candidate. If PNP or job offer is removed it will be only 155. That means, a higher secondary person with around 45 age. What job? Experience? NOC?
I feel candidates with 400+ may be more competent....

you are right. I was working in Canada without LMIA and they dont consider my job offer and did not get 600. but my score is 400. if they would have considered my LMIA exempt job as a valid job then I would have get 1000.... points. Note: this is only for me. not for my spouse. i did not cliam any points for my spouse.

I wouldn't be so optimistic as they are waiting for a flow of university graduates now. Otherwise, the previous draws should have been more frequent. If the cut-off mark drops, there's a low probability it could go under 500 in the nearest future.

Staying at 401 points, hoping to raise the score up to 480 and get ITA at least by the end of summer...

Totally agree with you. So what do you think cut off score will be for 10 draw. My guess is 455. But definately it will come down from 450 may be in 13 or 14th Draw assuming we have two draws every month. Yes all candidates with 400+ score will eventually get ITA's by end of this year for sure
