Hey everyone,

Hopefully someone can help me out by replying to this post.

I am on a 3 yr PGWP and I recently received a 1099 contract from a US company. They are of course not deducting any taxes and expect me to do it on my end in Canada. I was told by someone to incorporate myself using a website but it says that in order to do that, at least 25% of the directors need to be Canadian Citizens or PR holders, and I'm neither.

So it looks like I cannot set up my own corporation and then declare income every year through a tax filing company (HR block etc).

So I need some guidance here.

Is it possible for me to start working in my new role and then declare income when I file my taxes every year (through HR block) or is this not recommended?

Alternatively , would it be better to seek out a PEO company that will do my payroll and stuff for a fee ?

Any answers would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
