1 question about passport

I will be applying this week for Canadain visa finally but I will need my passport because I will also apply for f-1 USA visa.. is that possible ?
And do I have to send the Canadian embassy my passport or Can I just photocopy it ?
And if i photocopy it what will happen next ?

u have to send orignal passport along with ur application

This is mentioned in Guide 5269:

A valid passport or travel document that guarantees you re-entry to the country that issued it.

Valid passport from each person requiring a temporary resident visa.
• The validity of a visa cannot go beyond the validity of the passport but the validity of the study permit can.
• Include all cancelled or expired passports, if applicable.
• If you do not reside in your country of citizenship, please provide your work permit/temporary stay permit.
NOTE: If you do not wish to submit your original passport for the duration of the processing of your application,
you must provide a photocopy of the complete pages of your passport.

What should I beleive or ask ?

O man! you should believe your checklist. It specifically applies to you so you should follow it. You can send the photocopy of your Passport.

As it was mentioned so clearly in your checklist then why did you ask this question here?

You would require your passport for Canada when your Canadian study permit application end successfully so if you don't have your passport at that time it might cause delays.

For UAE, he can apply for study permit even on the photocopy of his passport. Checklist for UAE says so.
