I sent a webform and then the specific VO emailed me back a couple weeks later.

My medical results were passed and nothing happened so I emailed for an update and was advised that we need an interview but because of covid they aren’t doing them right now. The portal still shows no interview needed because they don’t update it until they have dates. So it’s been 15 months...

I know no one has much clue what’s going on anymore, but I’m curious as to when your biometrics showed as received ? Mine were done in April, medical was done July and shows as received but biometrics still says “we do not need biometrics from you”

I really think this is fine. I forgot postal codes in my form and uploaded a new one via webform months later and still got AOR.

Do you get an email once they have received your medical results or do you just keep checking ?

It truly varies so much across every single app. Your best bet is to look at the spreadsheet and find someone from an earlier month with the same VO and you can get a better idea of how that specific VO is working.

It means it was received at whichever VO it was sent to.

You can do either. PA info will show just the status of their part of the application. If you use the Sponsors info it will show both people’s status.

Mine did that when my biometrics were received. Maybe they have updated something and haven’t sent you mail yet?

Mine went to in process, then I got SA and on my side it went to Decision Made. The PA was In Process, then was transferred to the VO and now it’s stuck at Application Received again for almost a month, meaning the VO has not started processing all the most important parts yet. Next step is...

My file was received Sept 9. AOR March 27 SA March 29 BIL March 26 It’s all so random.

I scanned the original birth certificate and emailed it to a translator and she did the translation and certified the documents and then mailed the stamped copies back to me.

Yeah that happened to me. I got AOR the day after I believe.

The original comment about calling IRCC wasn’t me, I don’t call IRCC because I know they can’t give me any info. I originally emailed my MP back when there was some hope they would make getting a visitors visa a bit easier, but obviously that didn’t happen. I’m just trying very hard to go with...

I emailed my MP August 2020 and never heard back. Now I’m annoyed about that. Government employees really have it made, no accountability, no urgency to work normally because why when they get paid either way.

Do you get a notification when biometrics are passed ?

This is the new normal. Same thing happened to us. SA received biometrics request and the next day I received AOR, then 2 days later I got sponsor approval.
