Work permit from Scandinavia (or other countries belonging to London office)

Thanks for the info, this is very helpful. Are you able to share the key factors that you listed as reasons to expedite the process? Are you aware of the field of research for the other postdoc? i.e. essential in any way or covid related or not? Thanks for the help

Work permit from Scandinavia (or other countries belonging to London office)

This is really confusing. There seems to be no consistency in the processing times and the refusal or acceptance of someone for ugent processing... I wish there was someone I could ask for more information

Work permit from Scandinavia (or other countries belonging to London office)

Agreed. I too did my PhD internationally and been actually planning for this postdoc for over a year. So it is very irritating that something like this ends up being the determining obstacle in getting in the country.

Has any university teacher, professor or postdoc (NOC 4011) received a work permit since covid (after March 2020)?

I actually have to be in Canada to do my research so I care less about getting paid, and much more about getting in Canada. Super frustrating, IRCC or whoever processes ny application does not seem to care

    Processing time: GSS stream

I used a webform as well, as that is what I was adviced to do, Same reply as what you received. I am wondering if it would be worth emailing the embassy directly. I can see some are hoping they will get paid by their uni even if they started working remotely. But I have to be physically in...

    Processing time: GSS stream

Thank you, that is very interesting. I did try to send a letter written by my employer but they denied that request, even though we tried to say that my work would be essential (noc 4011 so obviously not on the list of essential workers). Anyways, gongrats, great that you got through, it seems...
