    June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

Officially I was told that I would receive the certificate in 2-4 weeks (even though in reality I received it much sooner than that). I probably wouldn't bother them until that time frame has elapsed. I never received any acknowledgement of the oath form after I sent it by e-mail.

    June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

My file is closed, and this part of my journey is done! Thanks to all for your help and support during this long process. Here's the full timeline: Type: Paper Processing Office: Scarborough Physical presence: 1721 Application: Single Application sent: 30 June 2021 Delivered: 06 July 2021...

    June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

I don't believe so; the text of the e-mail invite says to bring your PR card if you have one OR your COPR. I was asked to cut up my PR card, but they didn't ask me to do anything with the COPR. People who became a PR before 2002 are also asked to write "No Longer a Permanent Resident" on their...

    FYI - American-Canadian Dual Citizens

Thanks for this post, it is quite helpful. When you returned to Canada, did the agent ask for any proof of Canadian citizenship?

IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

Did this e-mail come after your Language/Prohibition/Physical presence are completed, or before? I think the purpose of this e-mail is to ensure that you are inside Canada in order to take the oath of citizenship.

IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

That's the same response that @Shmak2017 got. Mine was a little different because I was telling them about some travel I am doing within Canada. Others (and myself) saw the oath scheduled on the tracker about 2 days after e-mailing them. I hope that you see the oath scheduled next week!

IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

The response I got was less formal than that. You should e-mail the oath scheduling department, it is different than the knowledge test e-mail. The oath scheduling e-mail is: IRCC.DNSCRCitizenshipCeremony-CeremonieCitoyenneteSCRRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

To those asking about the email for the Scarborough office:scroll back a few pages. It is given a couple of times on p. 240 of this forum (and elsewhere). That’s the email for the oath scheduling department. They won’t help you unless a decision has been made on your case.

    June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

I requested a ceremony date in July - I told them I was traveling (within Canada) in early August and was concerned about being scheduled for the oath on dates I would be traveling without internet. I then provided them with my travel dates. They didn't accommodate my request for an oath date...

    June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

I now have an oath date! As advised by some others in this forum, I e-mailed the Scarborough scheduling department; they were very responsive and within a couple of days, I had a ceremony scheduled. My timeline is below - admin please update the spreadsheet. Type: Paper Location: Toronto...

IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

As others advised in this forum, I e-mailed with the Scarborough oath scheduling department and two days later I see the oath schedule in my tracker. Here is my updated timeline: Type: Paper Location: Toronto (Scarborough Office) Physical presence: 1721 Application: Single Application sent...

    July 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

It varies wildly and unpredictably. In my case, it was 5.5 months after the test (and 4.5 months after my background check was completed) before I got Decision Made. That was 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for the Oath Invite.

Nothing yet. I really feel like it should be any day now….

IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

In your email did you need to provide evidence of the reason for the request, or did you simply request an oath date?

    June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

From the spreadsheet, the average time between decision made and Oath Letter date is 16-17 days, with some cases taking ~50 days. Nothing to do but wait!

    June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

We have an almost identical timeline - I'm also a paper application at Scarborough and Language/Prohibitions/Physical Presence were changed to completed on June 8. I'm also still waiting for the oath date. I'm sure that once one of us gets it, the other will soon follow.

    July 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

It was the same for me. I am also a paper applicant from Toronto, and it took 5.5 months after the test for Decision Made. It will come soon!

    June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

Again, it may only be a coincidence - I have really no idea if the GCMS request did anything to speed along the application. I requested the GCMS notes on May 2, and I received them on May 31.

    June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

After more than 4 months, (and almost 6 months since I took the test), I finally have an update on my application! Admin, can you please update the tracker - also note that some of the dates for my timeline are not correct in the tracker - would appreciate if they are corrected. Today's...

Remember - the application will be processed whether or not you check the tracker! (I understand people not wanting to miss something if an e-mail gets lost....but perhaps checking once a week is best.)
