I think different visa offices process applications differently and length of wait also depends on case to case basis. But it's good that she already got AOR and biometric request. All she can do now is wait.

Did you apply outland? That's weird if they transfered it to Mississauga considering you don't have AOR or sponsor approval yet. Our file was recieved September 11, just temporary file number. Kinda worried if they did the same for our application why it's taking so long to process it.

Last question, you mentioned PSA-authenticated Birth Certificate, do you mean PSA-issued Birth Certificate (even without DFA authentication)? Yes, no need for DFA authentication. Also, you need to submit NBI clearance.

No need for DFA authentication or red ribbon. Also, you have to submit CENOMAR or Advisory on Marriages as this is also a country specific requirement. Do not forget also, PSA authenticated Birth Certificate.

Other than calling them to ask for updates or asking for a temporary file number, waiting is all we can do.

You can try requesting for a temporary file number by calling IRCC and use that details to send a webform explaining your situation. We just got a temporary file number today, they said our application is in the system but not yet in process.
